At Imak Advice Limited, we are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and applicable New Zealand privacy requirements.

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate.

If you receive policy schedules, review documents or other information from us and believe something is incorrect, please contact your Financial Adviser so the information can be reviewed and, where appropriate, corrected.

For security reasons, we may need to verify your identity before providing access to personal information.

Overseas storage and disclosure

Some of the technology, data storage or service providers used by Imak Advice may store or process personal information outside New Zealand.

This may include providers operating in countries such as Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas person or organisation, we will take appropriate steps to comply with New Zealand privacy requirements relating to overseas disclosures.

This may include ensuring appropriate privacy safeguards are in place or obtaining authorisation where required.

Sale or restructure of our business

Imak Advice may in the future consider a sale, merger, restructure or transfer of part or all of the business.

In these circumstances, it may be necessary to disclose limited personal information to professional advisers or potential purchasers as part of a due diligence process.
